About Applegarth Building Management

Built on Craft. Designed for Life.

At Applegarth Building Management Ltd, we believe that exceptional building work begins with quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to our clients.

With 30 years of trading experience, we have built our reputation on quality workmanship, reliability and a personal approach to every project we undertake.

Based in North Yorkshire, we specialise in new builds, extensions, timber frames, listed properties, renovations, barn conversions and bespoke garden rooms.

A Small, Friendly and Experienced Team

One of the things that makes Applegarth special is our small, friendly and dedicated team.

We are proud to have a close-knit group of skilled tradespeople, some of whom have been with us for up to 15 years. This loyalty and continuity mean we work exceptionally well together, sharing the same high standards, attention to detail and pride in our craftsmanship.

We believe that having a trusted, experienced team makes a real difference, not only to the quality of our work but also to the experience our customers receive.

Our Approach

We understand that every building project is personal, whether you're creating your dream home, extending your living space or restoring a character property.

From the initial planning stages through to the finishing touches, we work closely with our clients to ensure their ideas are brought to life.

Our focus is on quality materials, skilled workmanship, honest communication and a professional yet approachable service.

We take pride in doing things properly and creating buildings and spaces that will stand the test of time.

A Personal Service You Can Trust

Led by Ian McGowan, Managing Director, and supported by Sam McGowan, Project Manager, Applegarth offers a hands-on approach with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.

After 30 years in business, we still believe that the best results come from good relationships, teamwork and taking pride in every job, large or small.

Let's Build Your Future

Whether you're planning a new build, considering an extension or looking to transform an existing property, we'd love to discuss your ideas.

At Applegarth, we're proud of our history, our people and the work we do.
